Ask about your setupDo teams get a point for an overtime or shootout loss?
Yes. By default a win is worth 2 points, including in overtime or a shootout, an overtime or shootout loss is worth 1, and a regulation loss is worth 0. Admins can change the overtime win and loss points in League Rules, or set overtime loss points for a season.
How are goalie stats calculated?
Scorekeepers record saves during the game. When the game goes final, LeagueArc credits goals against and shutouts, and admins can correct them. Save percentage and goals-against average are calculated from those totals and shown on public goalie leaderboards.
Can I track penalties and penalty minutes?
Yes. Scorekeepers pick from named hockey penalties with default minutes: 2 for a minor, 4 for a double minor, 5 for a major, and 10 for a misconduct. Admins can change the minutes and set a custom penalty list for a season, and penalty minutes add to each player’s season totals.
Does LeagueArc track power plays?
Yes. The console counts down each penalty, shows the skater strength, such as 5v4, and ends a minor early when a power-play goal is scored. Power-play and penalty-kill percentages appear in the public standings and on game pages.
How are overtime and shootouts recorded?
After regulation the console offers overtime, then a shootout. Each attempt is logged with the shooter, the goalie, and the result. Shootout goals don’t count toward player stats, and the winning team is credited with one deciding goal.
Which hockey stats can fans see?
Public leaderboards can show goals, assists, points, plus/minus, penalty minutes, power-play, short-handed, and game-winning goals, hits, blocked shots, faceoff wins, takeaways, and giveaways. Game-winning goals are credited automatically, and admins choose which leaderboards appear.
Do scorekeepers need an app?
No native app is required. The hockey scoring console is browser-based and works on phones, tablets, and laptops.
Can I import my existing schedule?
Yes. LeagueArc supports reviewed spreadsheet imports for schedules and other common league data. The importer validates rows and shows issues before records are created.
