How to Build and Publish a League Homepage
Configure branding, assemble homepage sections, review links and mobile layout, publish, and verify the correct league site.
The short answer
Set organization branding first, open Homepage Builder for the intended league, assemble only the sections visitors need, preview desktop and mobile, then publish and test the public URL signed out. The builder's draft and recovery state should be reviewed before publishing; a saved draft is not automatically public.
Before you start
- Administrator access.
- A league in the current organization.
- Approved logo, colors, copy, and public links.
- At least one useful visitor action such as registration, schedule, or contact.
Step-by-step instructions
Set the brand foundation
Open Site Settings and confirm the organization name, logo, theme, typography, and contact information.
Choose the league
Open Homepage Builder in the intended league context and verify the public destination before editing.
Build the information path
Lead with the league purpose and primary action, then add relevant schedule, standings, registration, news, sponsor, or contact sections.
Validate every link
Open internal and external links, remove placeholders, and ensure registration and season destinations point to the current cycle.
Preview responsive layout
Check headings, images, buttons, tables, and navigation on desktop and a narrow mobile viewport. Use meaningful image alternative text.
Publish and verify
Publish deliberately, open the public URL signed out, and confirm the visible version, navigation, and primary call to action.
What success looks like
Common errors and fixes
Saved changes do not show
Confirm the latest draft was published, refresh the public page, and check that the correct league context is open.
A button leads to an old season
Replace the destination with the current canonical route and retest it signed out.
Mobile content overflows
Simplify the affected block, inspect long text or media dimensions, and preview again before republishing.
