How it works

  1. Add results

One game per line, home team first. Add OT or SO for games decided in overtime or a shootout.

  2. Pick the points

Choose a points system, or set your own points for a win, a tie, a loss and an overtime loss.

  3. Order the tiebreakers

Put them in the order your rules use. The table re-sorts as you move them.

  4. Share the table

Copy it, download a CSV, print it, or email yourself a copy.

Good to know

  • Head-to-head counts only the games between the teams that are level. When a tiebreaker splits a group but leaves some teams level, those teams start again from the first tiebreaker.
  • Enter a forfeit as the score your rules award, like 1-0 or 3-0.
  • Your results are saved in this browser. Nothing is sent to LeagueArc unless you email the table to yourself.

Questions

Which points systems can I use?

3 points for a win and 1 for a tie, the usual soccer table; 2 points for a win and 1 for an overtime or shootout loss, as in hockey; win percentage, where a tie counts as half a win; or your own points for a win, a tie, a loss and an overtime loss.

How does head-to-head work with three or more teams level?

It builds a small table from only the games between the level teams. If that separates some but not all of them, the teams still level start again from your first tiebreaker, so head-to-head is worked out between just those teams.

What happens if teams are still level after every tiebreaker?

They share the place, shown with an equals sign, like 3=. The note under the table says so, and your league rules decide what happens next, such as a coin toss or a playoff game.

How do I enter overtime or shootout games?

Add OT or SO at the end of the line, like “Hawks 3-2 Owls OT”. With hockey points the loser gets a point and an OTL in the table. With win percentage it counts as a normal loss.

How do I enter a forfeit?

As the score your rules award for a forfeit, like 1-0 or 3-0. The calculator treats it like any other result.

How is win percentage worked out?

Wins plus half the ties, divided by games played. A team that is 5-2-1 has (5 + 0.5) ÷ 8 = .688.
