If everyone plays everyone once, a league of n teams has n × (n − 1) ÷ 2 games: 6 teams play 15 games and 10 teams play 45. Playing twice doubles it. Each team plays one fewer game than the number of teams, per time through.

One team sits out each round, called a bye. Every team gets exactly one bye each time through the schedule, so nobody sits out twice before everyone has sat out once.

No. The tool schedules each team at most once per day. If you want two games a week, pick at least two playable days, or the tool will tell you the week cannot fit.

The tool does not double-book anyone to make it fit. It tells you which round and week ran out of room and suggests adding a day, a start time or a venue, playing fewer games a week, or removing a date off.

Playing once, each team’s home and away totals differ by no more than one game. Playing twice, the second half reverses every first-half game, so each pair hosts once.
