How to Collect Registration Installments
Configure registration installments, set amounts and due dates, and track paid, partial, overdue, and unpaid balances in LeagueArc.
The short answer
Enable installments in the selected season's registration setup, choose the available plan structure, and verify that the installment amounts add up to the registration fee. Registrants choose an eligible option during checkout; administrators track the resulting payment plan and installments from Payment Plans.
Before you start
- Administrator access to Registration settings.
- A season with a registration fee.
- A connected Stripe account for online card collection, or documented offline payment instructions.
- At least two installments with valid due dates.
Step-by-step instructions
Open registration setup
Choose the correct league and season, open Registrations, and go to the setup or settings area that controls fees and payment options.
Enable installments
Turn on installment payments for the season. Choose the supported preset mode or define the amounts and due dates shown by the custom installment editor.
Reconcile the total
Confirm all installment amounts equal the registration fee. Put due dates in a logical order and avoid a first due date that has already passed.
Verify payment collection
Connect Stripe before offering online card payment. If collecting offline, write precise instructions and understand that staff must record those payments.
Test the public checkout
Use the public registration path to confirm the installment choice, amount due now, and remaining schedule are clear before sharing the link.
Track each plan
Open Payment Plans to review paid, partial, overdue, and unpaid plans. Open a plan before recording an offline payment or investigating a failed automatic charge.
What success looks like
Common errors and fixes
Installments do not appear at checkout
Confirm the feature is enabled for that season, the registration is eligible, and the dates and amounts are valid.
Amounts do not equal the fee
Correct the custom installment amounts before opening registration; the plan total must reconcile to the fee.
A payment is still overdue
Open the specific plan, verify provider status, and record an offline payment only when money was actually received.
